Dr. Wei brings years of experience as an emergency medicine physician to his role in outpatient wound care. He has been practicing wound care since 2020 and continues to work in the emergency department, where he manages a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. This dual role gives him a comprehensive understanding of patient needs across care settings. His goal is to ensure every patient feels heard, supported, and empowered on their path to healing.

Ellen Leng, MD, FACEP, CWS

” I have found that medical care in general, and wound care in particular is best done with a team approach where the patient is a working part of that team. Chronic wounds are generally multifactorial, and I tend to be curious not only about the wound history, but also other dietary, supplemental, and other lifestyle factors that can contribute to the healing of individual wounds.”
Dr. Leng is a board-certified emergency medicine physician who spent 32 years practicing in the emergency department before transitioning to wound care. Her curiosity and holistic approach help her uncover the underlying causes of chronic wounds, empowering patients to make meaningful changes that support their healing journey.
As a Certified Wound Specialist, Dr. Leng’s goal is to work closely with patients and their families to heal existing wounds while promoting lifestyle habits that can prevent future wounds.

Chris Allen, MD

Dr. Allen brings a unique perspective to outpatient wound care, shaped by five years of service in the U.S. Navy working with Navy Divers. He completed his emergency medicine training in 2021 and continues to bring the same commitment and precision to his work as a wound care provider. His goal is to understand each patient’s story, uncover the root cause of their wound, and create a personalized plan that promotes healing—and prevents future wounds from occurring.
Dr. Allen also emphasizes the importance of nutrition and lifestyle in wound care, helping patients make simple yet powerful changes that can support their recovery.

Erica Benson, DPM

Dr. Benson brings extensive experience in podiatry and wound care to her role at Jovive. Before joining Jovive, she provided comprehensive wound care services at both Concord and Walnut Medical Center, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
Her goal as a wound care provider is to deliver high-quality, individualized care that promotes healing, prevents complications, and enhances the quality of life for each of her patients. Dr. Benson is dedicated to staying current with advancements in wound care and values a collaborative, team-based approach to supporting every patient’s healing journey.

Dr. Johnson is a board-certified emergency medicine physician and certified wound care specialist with over 20 years of clinical experience. He brings a wealth of knowledge from both acute care and wound care settings, with a focus on personalized, compassionate treatment.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Johnson serves as an active member of California Task Force 4, a FEMA Search and Rescue Team, where he contributes his expertise to disaster response and emergency preparedness.

Beverly Spurs, DPM

Dr. Spurs is a board-certified wound care specialist and podiatrist with over a decade of focused experience in wound management. She has been involved in wound care since 2012, bringing both clinical expertise and a strong commitment to patient education.
Before shifting her focus to wound care full time, Dr. Spurs ran a private podiatry practice for 37 years. Now, she is dedicated to advancing wound healing through direct care and by sharing her knowledge with both patients and fellow healthcare providers.

Antonio Muto-Isolani, MD

Dr. Muto-Isolani is a certified wound care specialist and board-certified emergency medicine physician with over 20 years of clinical experience. He brings a deep understanding of acute care and hyperbaric medicine to his wound care practice.
Before joining Jovive, Dr. Muto-Isolani provided comprehensive wound care at the John Muir Medical Center Wound Care Clinic. His extensive background includes years as an emergency department attending physician and work in hyperbaric medicine—giving him a well-rounded perspective on complex wound healing. He values trust and collaboration and is committed to working closely with each patient to address their unique wound care needs.

John Zink, MD FACS

Jenny Yu, DPM

Dr. Jenny Yu is a board-certified podiatrist and wound care specialist with a unique background in both public health and direct patient care. She began her healthcare career as a biostatistician after earning a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from UCLA, but soon realized her true passion lay in treating patients one-on-one.
Dr. Yu earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University and completed her residency at St. Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco. She is certified by the American Board of Wound Management and serves as a Qualified Medical Evaluator. Dr. Yu is also active in professional leadership, having served as President of the Alameda/Contra Costa County Podiatric Medical Association and as Director at Large for the California Podiatric Medical Association.
Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her family and exploring music—from classical piano to learning bass guitar.

Jason Moy, MD, MPH, FACS, CWS

Dr. Jason Moy is a board-certified general surgeon with advanced training in minimally invasive techniques and a strong background in public health and research. He provides specialized care in complex wound healing, including chronic wounds, surgical wounds, and trauma-related conditions.
Dr. Moy earned his undergraduate degree and Master of Public Health in Molecular Epidemiology from the University of Michigan, and his medical degree from Michigan State University. He completed his surgical residency at William Beaumont Hospital, where he was deeply involved in clinical research and academic publishing. He later completed a fellowship in minimal access and laparoscopic surgery at New York Presbyterian Hospital through a joint program with Cornell and Columbia Universities.
At the wound care center, Dr. Moy combines surgical expertise with a personalized, evidence-based approach to help patients heal more effectively and avoid complications such as infections and amputations.

Sharon Bryden, FNP-C, CWON

Sharon Bryden brings a deep and diverse background to her role in wound care, with experience spanning inpatient and outpatient settings since 2015. Most recently, she served as a wound and ostomy consultant, educator, case manager, and provider at John Muir Medical Center. Her passion for teaching has also led her to train family medicine residents and urgent care nurses in advanced wound care practices.
Before her nursing career, Sharon became a licensed esthetician, which helped shape her expertise in skin health—a vital component of wound healing. She later built on that foundation with experience in plastic reconstructive surgery and medical esthetics, bringing a well-rounded, patient-focused approach to every case.
Her goals as a wound care provider include educating patients about their condition and treatment options, fostering self-advocacy, and supporting both physical and emotional well-being throughout the healing process. She also strives to reduce stigma surrounding chronic wounds by raising awareness within the community and across the healthcare system.
