Madison Baker, PA with patient Luwana Ryan

It was a routine day cleaning her floors when Luwana “Lu” fell and wounded her leg. She knew her diabetes weakens her veins, and was proactive in seeking treatment, but she never anticipated the daunting challenge ahead to get her stubborn wound to heal.

After multiple visits to various doctors, she was frustrated that her large wound was not showing any signs of healing. She decided to take matters into her own hands to seek specialized treatment.

Lu found herself at Jovive Wound Care (JWC), where a team led by Dr. Kwon and physician assistant Madison Baker provided not just treatment but a beacon of hope. Their evidence-based approach and personalized attention stood out to Lu, who remarked, “I immediately felt close to the ladies in the office—Tina, Madison, and Amber were all truly exceptional. Dr. Kwon was also wonderful. I had such a good experience during a really stressful time in my life.”

Lu’s journey with Jovive Wound Care marked a turning point as their coordinated care and dedication led to significant healing of her wound. This experience not only saved her leg but also reignited her faith in the healing process. Lu’s story illustrates the impact of patient-centered practices and specialized wound care, highlighting their profound difference for individuals facing medical challenges.

Now on the path to recovery, Lu has renewed joy and is busy preparing for her 60th wedding anniversary!
